Discount Code Details

Every day we field a lot of questions related to our discount code that can be applied to certain products on our website. This article will explain the discount code in detail - specifically, why we are forced to use it, and how you can use it on the website.

The discount code has caused some confusion over the years, but we're forced to use it because some manufacturers - most notably Philips Respironics and Fisher & Paykel - don't allow CPAP dealers to advertise prices below "Minimum Advertised Price" or "MAP" (sometimes called "MSRP") prices to customers. These manufacturers allow us to sell products at whatever price we want, but we're forced to advertise a higher "MAP" price to you. The only viable workaround to this type of advertising restriction is for us to allow you to use a discount code to see our actual retail prices.

Once you know the discount code, then you just need to know where to enter the code. Some people try to enter the discount code in the shopping cart, but the discount code doesn't work in the shopping cart. It only works on product detail pages that prompt for the discount code. Here's an example of a product detail page that prompts for the discount code: Philips Respironics System One REMstar.

You'll note that the product detail page indicates an MSRP price of $559 for the System One REMstar. Right above this price you'll see a text box with the words "Enter discount code" next to it. When you enter the discount code, you'll be able to see our actual retail price. In this case our actual retail price is substantially different from the minimum advertised price of $559. Using the discount code is worth the limited effort it takes to enter it!

So now that you know why we're forced to use the code, and where to use the code, you might be asking yourself, "what's the code?!"

We'd really like to be able to freely publish the code, but we're not allowed to do so (go figure). We can give it to you upon request, and you'll see it often if you create an account with us and subscribe to our email list. But, sadly, we can't write it here. If you've landed on this article after clicking a link from one of our periodic emails, then you already know the discount code!

Check out our periodic emails for the discount code, or call or email us anytime and we'll give it to you.

Please know this: we wouldn't use a discount code like this if we didn't have to do so. We feel it's inconvenient for consumers and it creates more work for us. However, we're committed to providing you with the best CPAP equipment at the lowest prices possible. We hope our discounted prices are worth the extra effort that is sometimes required to see those prices.

Call or email with questions or comments. We look forward to hearing from you.
