| The Comfort Flap is an optional accessory that improves the comfort and seal of the basic flap design of the Respironics Reusable Contour Nasal Masks. This additional flap is thin and pliant which enables it to seal by conforming to the contours of the face. It enhances the CPAP mask seal to help reduce air leakage into critical areas near the nose, eyes and cheeks. CPAP mask comfort is increased because an effective seal can be achieved with less headgear tension.
the Comfort Flap is designed to last approximately six months with proper care. Replace the Comfort Flap if any tears are noticed or air leakage around the mask occurs or increases. If skin irritation develops, this may be due to excessive pressure, a skin reaction, or a combination of the two. Readjust your headgear and if the irritation persists, discontinue use of the Comfort Flap, and contact either your physician or CPAP-Supply.com.
