As the top-of-the-line CPAP machine from Fisher & Paykel, the ICON Auto combines all the features and technologies offered by Fisher & Paykel into one powerful CPAP machine to provide the most flexibility for the treatment of sleep apnea. Technologies featured in the Icon Auto include an advanced auto-adjusting algorithm and SensAwake technology, which reduces pressure when the CPAP machine detects an arousal to wakefulness. In reducing pressure to a more comfortable or tolerable level during waking moments, SensAwake aids in the transition back to sleep.

The ICON Auto is compatible with all CPAP masks. Your existing CPAP mask will work with this CPAP machine, because it uses tubing with a standard 22mm connection. The ICON Auto does not include a CPAP mask, but it does including tubing, filter and carrying case.

    Auto-adjusting Pressure
    The versatile Auto CPAP device can be used as a titration and long-term solution for treating sleep apnea. The flow-based auto-adjusting algorithm detects and effectively responds to flow limitation, hypopnea and apnea.

    The Auto can be used to assist patients experiencing the following:

  • Pressure intolerance
  • Pressure requirements greater than 10cmH2O
  • REM or positional OSA
  • Incomplete laboratory titration
  • Planned weight changes (e.g. future bariatric surgery)
  • Returning symptoms after long-term CPAP use.

    First time CPAP user September 10, 2012

    This is my first CPAP machine.  I chose this because it is an automatic machine versus a constant pressure.  I have only used this 5 nights now but it seems to be much better than the units that were in the sleep center.  The air doesn't seem to be so intense all the time.  So far I am very happy with this CPAP machine.
