This is the third mask I've tried since I got my RemStar M three months ago. The third time was a charm with the Swift LT. I find it quite comfortable, easy to put on and take off, easy to clean. The headgear and its clasps are very well designed, allowing you to adjust the fit accurately, even in the middle of the night with your eyes closed if necessary. Once I get the pillows positioned under my schnoz and put the headgear on (in that order), they stay there all night, without shifting around much. (Occasional adjustments may be needed, but once you know the mask adjustments are easy to make, in my experience.) And best of all, the nasal pillow design allows me to wear the headgear much looser than the over the nose mask. I think that's because the nasal pillow adapts so well to the shape of your nose. So you don't need to cinch everything up so tight.

If a mask makes you feel like you're suffocating, a nasal pillow like this WILL help. I know it helped me and it's a godsend. BUT, and this is important, if you have been using another mask for awhile, ORDER NEW TUBING when you order this. Your old tubing's opening will be too "stretched" to snugly connect to this tubing's smaller openings. This is really, really important. New tubing (even cheap tubing like the Respironics 6 Foot Tube) will connect snugly and easily to both this mask and you current CPAP machine. Hope this helps, and good luck!

I use the Mirage Swift II, and decided to try the Swift LT because of the reputed "noise abatement". It IS less noisy. But it only works for me if I lie on my back, and don't change positions during the night (i.e. it doesn't do the job). I am able to change positions and the Swift II keeps blowing air down my throat no matter how I am lying. But the LT stops flowing in most or all positions other than on my back. I tried all sizes of pillows, and with/without the mini-hose clamp, but it really appears to be the configuration of the pillows cushion that is not able to maintain flow for me in certain positions.
It's too bad, since it really is less noisy, but I need uninterrupted sleep, and I continue to get that from the Swift II but not the LT.

A small improvement over the previous version. I often awaken a night with a small locallized headache due to the pressure of the straps. I have adjusted them as loose as possible while still performing their retaining function. It would be great if Respironics could use a wider material (1 inch or more) to spread out the pressure over a wider area. I would gladly pay more for such an improvement. Otherwise, an excellent product. The appliance itself has evolved into a very compliant, yet reliably sealing device. No problem sleeping on either side or back. I will continue using the Swift LT.
