Description More Information

With its softer, lighter cushion, Respironics Profile Lite Nasal Gel Mask is extremely comfortable right out of the box. The unique gel cushion and forehead pad gently rest against the patient's face for a soft, pillowy fit.

Not only is the Profile™ Lite a comfortable off-the-shelf mask, it's also a fully customizable mask. The simple, 10-minute customization process molds the mask to the individual's facial contours for a personalized seal. You can easily customize the mask on your own, repeating the process as needed, to find the perfect fit.

Respironics items 1004086 (petite), 1004087 (small), 1004088 (medium small), 1004089 (medium), 1004110 (medium wide), 1004112 (large narrow) 1004111 (large).

Don't know which size to order? Use our mask sizing guide below to help you decide which size is best for you. To use the guide you'll need to take the following two measurements:

  1. Measure straight down from the middle of your pupil to the bottom of your nose. It may help to imagine a horizontal line extended from your nose to beneath your eye, so that you can measure straight down from your pupil.
  2. Measure the width of your nose at its widest point
Mask Size Length (Measurement #1) Width (Measurement #2)
Petite 1 1/2" 1 1/2"
Small 1 5/8" 1 1/2"
Medium Small 1 3/4" 1 1/2"
Medium 2" 1 5/8"
Medium Wide 1 3/4" 2 1/16"
Large Narrow 2 7/16" 1 1/2"
Large 2 7/16" 1 7/8"
You should purchase the CPAP mask that most closely matches the measurements you take, being sure to make sure that the CPAP mask dimensions are no smaller than the measurements you took. It's better to have a slightly large CPAP mask than one that is too small.

Features
Most patients fit one of the three sizes so there is no need to stock a large inventory of numorous sizes. If you do come across a special size requirement, other sizes can be special ordered or a standard size can be customized.

The Profile™ Lite consists of four parts and just two that need to be cleaned, making it easier to use and care for than other masks. Also, the Profile™ Lite requires less tightening to ensure a seal, thus imrpoving patient comfort. This may lead to imrpoved patient compliance.

To customize Profile™ Lite, place the mask in water that has been boiled. Cool the mask and press it against the patient's face. The heat-absorbent cushion feels like a warm compress as it creates the custom shape.

Comfort Lite - LOVE IT! April 1, 2009
Reviewer: Rickey  Callahan from Bonifay, FL United States
I have used this mask for about 5 years now.....I am currently ordering my 3rd one...I don't boil it for the custom fit, it works just fine without it.  I did have to remove the forehead cushion as it seemd to break out a spot on my forehead.  After that, it has worked wonderfully and this is a GRAT PRICE!!!

Profile lit nasal mask February 13, 2009
Reviewer: Anonymous person from concord, ON Canada
I have used the comfort gel previously but after less than 6 months the little plastic holders for the straps keep breaking so I decided to try this one.
I find it very difficult as I need to put it on tightly and it has bruised the bridge of my nose. I cannot sleep without it, so my nose is constantly hurting. I would like to find something that would be comfortable and not painful

Good at first, but does not last... January 21, 2008
Reviewer: Anonymous person from Wolcott, IN United States
I got this as my first mask with my machine.  It is comfortable at first, but the gel does not hold up.  It soon started leaking around the corners of my eyes at about 2 weeks old.  The only way to make it stop leaking was to tighten it down very tight.  I did this up until the point that it broke the forehead support off of the top of the mask.  I don't recommend this mask at all unless you like waking up in the morning with blue goo on your face and blemishes from over-tightening.

Respironics Profile lite Gel Mask November 17, 2007
Reviewer: Tim  from Hill City, SD United States
Starts out strong but fades quickly! I used this mask when I got my sleep study and so I bought one here as it seemed to fit well during the study. Worked good for awhile, but then got mushy and developed leaks close to the corners of my eyes. (I've had it about 2 months) I've had to strap it on really tight and now the gel forehead support broke and I wake up with sticky gel all over. I'm going to try the new one and see if it's better. I kind of regret that I tried the custom fit option as I feel that may have turned the gel "mushy". I'm going to leave the next one alone.

Gel Mask July 8, 2007
Reviewer: Dan Pempek from Menasha, WI United States
I haver used this mask before and I reordered because of the simple design. Others have moveable clasps to attach headgear and the ratings say they break easy. I will stay with the tried and true mask. Well worth the price since a local store would cost $129.00+.
