The ResMed 24V Converter with 50W output allows CPAP users to power their RESMed VPAP Auto 25 and VPAP ST CPAP machines from a 12V or 24V power source.
This cord MUST be used when powering the VPAP Auto 25 or VPAP ST from a battery.
This 24V converter can be used to power the VPAP Auto 25 or the VPAP ST from any 24V battery, provided the battery has a 24V outlet on it (either built-in, or created by a battery adapter cable with alligator clips).
This 24V converter, should not, however, be used to power The VPAP Auto 25 or VPAP ST machines WITH either H3i or H4i humidifiers with the heat turned on. The output of this converter is not sufficient to power the VPAP machines with the H3i or H4i humdifier turned on. If you must use either the H3i or H4i heated humidifier with the heat turned on, then you will need to purchase a 300W true sine wave inverter.
The inverter plugs into your battery, and the regular VPAP power cord plugs into the inverter. This is a relatively inefficient way to use a battery, so we recommend not using your H3i or H4i heated humidifier if possible when you need to run your VPAP machine from a 24V battery.
Again, if you're not using a heated humidifier with your machine, then the ResMed 24V converter (ResMed part #26932) featured on this page is all you need to run your VPAP Auto 25 or VPAP ST from a 24V battery.
