The software in this kit allows the clinician or patient to conduct a permanent upgrade of an S7 Elite CPAP machine. The upgrade provides the full functionality of an AutoSet Spirit CPAP machine, with a substantial increase in patient comfort, lower noise, better compliance and reduced side effects of OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) therapy.
Once the upgrade software has been installed, the process consists of three steps:
contacting ResMed for an upgrade code
upgrading the CPAP machine software
setting the required values in the CPAP machine and applying the AutoSet Spirit decal stickers
While the software can remain installed on the clinician's or patient's computer, a new kit is required for each upgrade.
