| The ResMed Sullivan HumidAire Heated Humidifier provides 8 levels of heated humidification for CPAP users with any type of CPAP machine.
The simple, intuitive design makes adding water and cleaning the water chamber quick and easy. An on/off light and a heater plate light on the front/top of the humidifier allows you to easily see the humidification status of the machine. The orange heater plate light turns on at the point where heated humidification begins, and the numbers around the dial indicate the level of humidification to which the humidifier is set.
The dial on top of the humidifier only controls humidity. The air will not get any warmer; just more humid.
To use this humidifier with any CPAP machine, you will connect your mask to a long length of tubing. The long length of tubing will be connected to one of the ports on the humidifier. A short length of tubing will be connected from the CPAP machine to the other port on the humidifier. When the CPAP machine blows air, the air will blow through the humidifier water chamber picking up water along the way. This air will then blow out of the humidifier through the long tube and through your mask, delivering air that contains more moisture in it.
If you experience excessive condensation or water droplets flicking into your mask, then your dial is probably set too high. Turn the dial down until the condensation decreases. This "rain out" may occur seasonally as the weather turns cooler.
It is important to note that water must not be allowed to run back into the CPAP machine. |
