The TAP PAP Headgear Strap is an optional component of the TAP PAP nasal pillow mask system. We sell the TAP PAP with the headgear strap, but the strap isn't required for use with the mask. It's an option which allows for the tube to be held in place by a tube retainer at the top of the headgear strap. Since the TAP PAP mask is held in place by a mouthpiece, a traditional headgear strap like this one isn't required.
The TAP PAP headgear strap is different from the TAP PAP chin strap, in that that headgear strap doesn't hold the mouth closed. The headgear strap is simply used to route the tube up over the head and to keep the tube in place.
